Cascade de Dindéfelo

Dindéfelo Waterfall is reached on foot from the village through the wooded highlands of the Kédougou region. The trail leads to a tall rock face and natural pool whose water level and flow vary considerably with the season.

Things to see and do

  • Walk to the falls with a local guide
  • Observe the rock layers, vegetation and valley landscape
  • Enjoy the cooler air below the falls while staying clear of rockfall areas
  • Discover the village while respecting residents’ daily life

Good to know

Bring shoes with good grip, water and sun protection. The trail and rocks may be slippery; confirm path and swimming conditions locally, and never jump from the cliffs.
