Fadiouth, the shell island

A wooden bridge links Joal to Fadiouth. Shells shape the island's paths and nearby islets. Walk the village lanes and respectfully see the cemetery with Christian and Muslim graves. This is a lived-in place: ask before photographing people or private spaces.
