Learn about mangrove restoration

Mangroves support the delta's habitats. Local projects may restore them, but planting without knowing the site, season and method can harm the ecosystem. Ask an active local organisation before taking part; no planting activity is guaranteed.

Things to see and do

• Learn about the role of mangroves in the delta.
• Meet a local initiative if it welcomes visitors.
• Join only an authorised, supervised activity.

Good to know

Do not plant on your own in a protected area; verify the project and its guidance.
