Birdlife and sandbanks of the delta

The delta's islands and sandbanks host waterbirds depending on the season. Watch from a boat or permitted viewpoint to avoid disturbing resting and nesting areas. Several places may be called 'bird island': agree the exact destination with a local guide before setting out.
