Savannah birdwatching

Around Tambacounda and Wassadou, savannah and riverside habitats lend themselves to quiet birdwatching. Species vary by place, time and season. Use permitted access points and follow park rules in protected areas.

Things to see and do

  • Listen and watch from a distance, ideally with binoculars.
  • Notice different habitats without leaving permitted paths.
  • Avoid nests and carry out any litter.

Good to know

The outing depends on local access and weather; no guide or particular sighting is guaranteed.
